The Greyling family lives on a farm in Desert Rose. An absent father, a long-time debt agreement and drama surrounds them in this forgotten dessert town.
The absent father and broken relationships
Neil Sandilands plays Freddie ‘Fingers’ Greyling, a music star and the absent father of Eben Greyling and his three sisters. Pa Greyling has left a trial of debt and broken family ties behind with his disappearance. His disappearance a much a mystery as the debt agreement with the family’s benefactor Van As. Who has to pay for the debt Freddy Greyling left behind? What will the price of a broken promise be, and how long can the secrets stay buried?
Eight emotionally loaded episodes
Desert Rose will leave you expecting something around every corner. When drama, romance, music and crime follow a family, suspense is always a scene away. Their loss leaves them lonely and their eccentric ways misunderstood. Eight intense episodes unravels the family’s secrets and focusses on the unlikely reconnecting of a father and his children. The music and the cast
Neil Sandilands also wrote and performed much of the music in the series accompanied by Theo Crous and Georgio Frazer Barry.

Desert Rose is directed by Cindy Lee (The Girl from St Agnes), written by award-winning screenwriter and showrunner Rohan Dickson (Reyka, Husk, Welcome to Hawaii) and produced by Quizzical Pictures.
